Celebrating the life of
Jacqueline Underwood Beasley
September 25, 1938 - January 11, 2016
Jacqueline Louise (Underwood) Beasley, known by most as “Memaw” or “Jackie”, born September 25, 1938 in Savannah, Ga., went to be with our Lord and Savior on January 11, 2016. Her spirit is carried on through her husband, Reginald Alvis Beasley, of 59 years, her 3 children, and 8 grandchildren. She will always be remembered by her wonderful hospitality, great cooking and “memawisms”. We have learned many valuable lessons from her over the years. Always throw salt over your shoulder for good luck, tell those you love them at every opportunity, put a wooden spoon over a spot of boiling water to keep it from boiling over, and have as many family gatherings as you can.
She is survived by her children, Kimberly Shaffer (husband Glen, children Ashley, Keith, Wyatt, and Hayley), Reginald Beasley (wife Laura, children Rebekah and Gordon), and Angela DeLettre (husband Danny, children Lindsey and Brittany). Jackie would proudly share photos and accomplishments of her 8 grandchildren with all of her bridge buddies and her facebook friends. She has enjoyed many adventures with her husband, family, and friends to Hawaii, Nashville, Biloxi, camping in the Smokey Mountains, canoeing in the clear Ocala Springs, visiting Orlando amusement parks and New York City just before 9/11.
The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, January 15, 2016 at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel. The family will receive friends on hour prior to the service.

But you can believe she is in a better place, with no more pain and worry. She has plenty of our families angels to watch over her. Mark and I will keep you all in our thoughts and prayers. God bless Aunt Jackie.

Mr.Beasley and family: I am so sorry to hear of your loss. It has been a pleasure for me to grow to know you and Mrs. Jackie over the past two years. As humans we are selfish and want to keep our loved ones here with us past the time they should stay. Trust that she is at peace with no more pain or worries. Take comfort that you will see her again in Glory.
